The Lowdown
Skövdeloppet is an urban road race organized by IFK Skövde FIK in Skövde, Sweden, with a half marathon (21.1 km), a 10.5 km quarter marathon and a 5 km run. The 2026 edition is on Sunday, October 18, with a 10:00 start for all distances at Lillegårdens Fritidsområde. The course is described as a city-close, easy-running route on walking and cycling paths through residential areas. Timing is by chip with the CTIME system, the time limit is 4 hours for every distance, and GPX files and maps are published for all three. Entry fees rise in steps: the half marathon costs 350 SEK from October 1 to 17, and 400 SEK from October 17 through race day.
