The Virginia 10 Miler is a 10-mile (16.1 km) road race held every September in Lynchburg, Virginia. The 2026 edition was the 52nd running, and the race is an RRCA Regional 10-Mile Championship. Run as the Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler, it starts and finishes at E.C. Glass High School. The course heads north on Langhorne Road, drops downhill for about 1.5 miles, then turns east on Rivermont Avenue past Randolph College and follows the James River through Riverside Park before returning along the same route. The finish comes after a long uphill stretch of about 1.5 miles that the organizers call infamous. A 2.5-hour time limit applies, with checkpoint cutoffs along the course. The race draws an elite field each year, with runners from Kenya, Ethiopia, Bahrain, Ukraine and the United States in 2026. A 4+ Mile Run, a 4+ Mile Walk and virtual versions of each event run the same weekend. Entry prices rise in tiers from $45 for post-race registration in early October to $100 on race day.
