Vitality Stockport 10K
The Lowdown
The Vitality Stockport 10K is a closed-road 10K launched in 2026 by organizer RunThrough in a multi-year title partnership with health insurer Vitality, run in aid of Stockport County Community Trust. The inaugural edition took place on Sunday 19 July 2026, starting and finishing inside Edgeley Park, home of Stockport County FC, with the route heading out through Edgeley and into Bramhall Park before returning to a finish on the Cheadle End pitch. The course is flat and fast, with only around 61 meters of total elevation gain, making it a realistic personal-best route for a wide range of ability levels. Runners get full road closures, chip timing, a finisher medal, free race photos, and post-race goodies, plus the option to buy an event t-shirt at a discount when purchased with entry. There is a 90-minute course cutoff tied to the road closure permits. Because the partnership between RunThrough and Vitality is explicitly multi-year, the race is expected to return on a similar mid-July date each year, though the organizers had not published a specific 2027 date at the time of this record; the date shown here is a cadence-based projection (third Sunday of July) pending official confirmation.
