The Lowdown
The Xenia Marathon is organized by the Ohio River Road Runners Club (ORRRC) in Xenia, Ohio, and the 2027 edition is its 60th. Start and finish are at the Xenia YMCA. The course heads into downtown Xenia, loops through neighborhoods, and uses rail-trail and neighborhood streets back to the finish. The marathon course is USATF-certified and a Boston qualifier. A half marathon and 10K run on the same start, with turn-offs from the marathon course. Aid stations sit about every two miles, with 11 water and Gatorade stations and 5 gel stations on the marathon course. The cut-off is 13:45 per mile, roughly a 6-hour marathon. Finishers receive a medal, and a free post-race breakfast is served next door to the YMCA. Participants who decline a race shirt before the shirt cut-off get $10 off registration.
