Brescia Marathon
The Lowdown
The Brescia Marathon (branded the Gruppo Bossoni Brescia Art Marathon, or BAM) is an annual marathon held each March in Brescia, in Italy's Lombardy region. The 2027 edition marks the 25th running of the event, held on March 14, 2027. Runners choose between the full 42.195K marathon, a 21.0975K half marathon, and a 10K, plus non-competitive options including the Sportland Easy Run 10K and the Rondinelle Family Walking. The FIDAL-certified marathon course is a single loop starting near Piazza Vittoria and Via San Faustino, passing UNESCO World Heritage sites in Brescia's historic center -- including the ancient Capitolium and Roman Forum, the Castello di Brescia, the Mille Miglia Museum, and Piazza Paolo VI's Old and New Cathedrals -- before finishing at Piazza della Loggia. The route is largely flat, with a modest 134 meters of total elevation gain. The 2026 edition drew roughly 8,000 runners representing more than 30 nations across all distances. Registration for the 2027 marathon runs through the Endu platform: early-bird pricing was offered from March 23 to April 30, 2026, and standard registration opens September 1, 2026.
