Halbmarathon Moers

Halbmarathon Moers is the half-marathon distance of the annual Volkslauf hosted by TV Schwafheim 1900 e.V. in the Schwafheim district of Moers, in Germany's Lower Rhine region. First held in 1974, the event reached its 52nd running on June 4, 2026, and is held every year on Fronleichnam (Corpus Christi), the Thursday public holiday in North Rhine-Westphalia that lets local runners take part on a weekday. The flat, single-loop course starts and finishes at the TV Schwafheim sports grounds on Maria-Djuk-Strasse and winds through the surrounding farmland on a mix of asphalt roads and forest paths. The half marathon runs alongside a full slate of shorter events on the same day - a 10K, a 5K, a 10K walking event, and youth races over 500m and 1,300m - with a typical combined field of 400 to 500 finishers across all distances, timed electronically via Race Result. Online entry opens through my.raceresult.com each February and closes the day before race day; day-of registration and bib pickup are also available at the TV Schwafheim clubhouse from 08:00, with a small late surcharge. Finishers receive a club-designed medal, and showers are available at the finish. Based on the event's Fronleichnam cadence, the next edition falls on Thursday, May 27, 2027.
