Ingolstadt Halbmarathon

The Ingolstadt Halbmarathon is a 21.0975 km road race through the Bavarian city of Ingolstadt on the Danube, run each May since 2001 and organized by the Ingolstädter Halbmarathon GbR. The 25th edition took place on 9 May 2026 with the organizers reporting more than 3,000 participants across all events. The next edition is expected on the second Saturday of May 2027, with the date and pricing still to be announced. The course is officially measured by the German athletics federation (DLV): it starts at the Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke, heads through the old town to the Kreuztor turnaround, then follows the Danube embankment, the old rail embankment toward Haunwöhr and the Baggersee lake before returning through the Glacis park to the finish at the Theatervorplatz, 300 m from the start. The race has been known as the Sparkasse Ingolstadt-Eichstätt Halbmarathon in recent years. Every finisher receives a medal and a printable certificate, and pacers run 1:30, 1:45, 2:00 and 2:15. The finish closes after three hours.
