The Lowdown
The Medio Maratón Bachoco is a charity half marathon in Celaya, Guanajuato, organized by Grupo Bachoco with the Celaya municipal government and DIF Celaya. It started 12 years ago, and the 2026 edition on Sunday, November 8 sends the 21K off at 7:00 a.m., followed by the 10K at 7:15 and the 5K and 3K walk at 7:30. The half marathon (21.097 km) has Libre (18-39), Máster (40-49), Veteranos (50-59) and Veteranos Silver (60+) categories for women and men, with a 3-hour time limit. The entry fee goes to community kitchens, and this year all of it funds the community kitchen at the DIF temporary shelter in Celaya. Kit pickup is at the runners' expo in Celaya on November 6 and 7, and the kit includes a shirt, a bib with timing chip and hydration on course.
