The Lowdown
Medio Maratón Feria Nacional San Marcos, branded 21K El Gigante de México, is the half marathon of the Feria Nacional de San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The state sports institute (IDEA) organizes it on the Saturday of the fair in April. The first edition took place on April 18, 2026, starting at 7:00 am on Avenida Francisco I. Madero in the historic center, and drew more than 23,000 participants across the 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K. The 21.0975 km route is certified by World Athletics and AIMS and follows Avenida Adolfo López Mateos, Avenida Convención de 1914, Avenida Heroico Colegio Militar and the Glorieta de la Purísima. Finishers receive a gold-finish medal, and the 21K and 10K carry cash prizes. The 2026 half marathon entry was 300 MXN; the 2027 date and pricing are not yet announced.
