Old Port Half Marathon

The Old Port Half Marathon is an annual road race through Portland, Maine, held each June as part of the Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon & 5K weekend. First run in 2011, the single-loop 13.1-mile course follows Portland's Casco Bay waterfront and Back Cove before finishing in the historic Old Port district, passing lighthouses and Civil War-era forts along the way. Shipyard Brewing Company has served as title sponsor, and finishers receive a commemorative medal, race swag, and a complimentary beer (21+) at a finish-line block party with live music. The 2026 edition drew more than 3,200 half-marathon finishers. A companion 5K runs the same morning along Commercial Street and the Eastern Promenade Trail. The half marathon starts at 7:00am with a 3-hour time limit, and A Running Passion, a charity supporting young athletes, is the event's charity partner.
