The Lowdown

Poznań's flagship marathon, in its 25th edition in 2026, starting and finishing at the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie (MTP) fairgrounds and looping through the city past Lake Malta, INEA Stadion, and the historic Old Town. The course is AIMS, World Athletics, and Polish Athletics Federation (PZLA) certified, and the race is part of Poland's 'Złota Seria 42' (Golden Series 42) alongside the country's other major marathons. Title sponsorship is volatile: the 2026 edition runs as the 'LOTTO 25. Poznań Maraton im. Macieja Frankiewicza' after LOTTO became title partner for 2026, replacing longtime sponsor PKO Bank Polski — the event was widely known for years as the PKO Poznań Maraton, and that branding may still appear on older materials. Entry fees rise on a published schedule (200 PLN through March 31, 240 PLN through June 30, 260 PLN through September 1, 280 PLN through October 1, then 320 PLN for in-person late registration October 2-3 at the MTP race office). OK Poznań program residents get a 25% discount and participants 60 and older get 50% off. Registration is capped at 8,000 paid entries, online sign-up runs through October 1, 2026, and the course has a 6-hour time limit.
