Santa Fe International Half Marathon
The Lowdown
The Santa Fe International Half Marathon is a high-desert sunrise race through New Mexico's capital, now in its 5th year. The 100% paved, GPS-measured course starts at Romero's Park in the historic village of Agua Fría, passes through the village around mile 4, climbs to a turnaround near 6,883 feet around mile 9, and finishes at Reunity Resources Farm south of downtown Santa Fe -- a net-downhill route with about 651 feet of total climb. Race weekend also includes the 3-Amigos Relay (a three-person team format over the same course), a 5K starting later from the farm finish, and a free Kids 1K Dash held the day before. Together the events draw more than 3,000 runners. Finishers receive a hand-thrown ceramic medal and a post-race breakfast burrito with local roast coffee, and proceeds support the Lightning Boy Foundation and the Kitany Water Project in Kenya's Rift Valley.

Entries are non-refundable, but runners may defer to the following year or transfer their bib to another runner up to two weeks before race day
