The Lowdown

Semi de Cannes is Cannes' long-running half marathon weekend along the French Riviera, staged entirely on La Croisette waterfront and returning for its next edition on Sunday, February 21, 2027. The 21.097 km course runs two loops from the Esplanade Pantiero on the old port, past the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès and along Boulevard du Midi, with aid stations at 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km on a flat, traffic-closed circuit that is officially measured and qualifies for the French championships. A 10 km, using the semi-marathon's first loop, and a 5 km share the same start and finish. The 2026 edition — the 32nd semi-marathon, 26th 10 km, and 6th 5 km — drew 2,895 classified semi-marathon finishers among roughly 5,500 runners across all three races. The half marathon carries a strict 2h30 time limit, with runners behind 1h45 at the 15 km checkpoint redirected onto a shortened 3 km finish. Non-licensed adults need a PPS health certificate or a valid FFA license; the minimum age is set by birth year, effectively 17 on race day. Registration for 2027 has not opened as of August 2026; the most recently published tariffs (2023) started at €23 for the half marathon. The race is organized by the Athlétic Club de Cannes with the City of Cannes.
