Singapore International Marathon
The Lowdown
The Singapore International Marathon is Singapore's flagship distance-running event, first held in 1982 and now in its 44th edition. The 2026 race is branded the "BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas" — BYD is the new title sponsor (taking over from long-time title sponsor Standard Chartered, who now sponsors only the 10km), while adidas is the presenting sponsor and title sponsor of the half marathon. Held as a three-day festival of running (4–6 December 2026) with marathon Sunday on 6 December, the event draws tens of thousands of runners from around the world — over 55,000 participants in 2025, including more than 14,000 international runners from 80 countries. The marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km routes take runners past Singapore's most iconic landmarks in the heart of the city.
