Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon
The Lowdown
The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon is Hong Kong's premier road race and the city's largest mass-participation sporting event, drawing around 70,000 runners across all categories each January. The full marathon starts on Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, crosses three of Hong Kong's iconic bridges and tunnels, and finishes at Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island. The event is a World Athletics-labelled race and an AIMS member, offering marathon, half marathon and 10K distances. Entry for the main distances is allocated by a public ballot.
