The Lowdown
The Winter Blast Half Marathon is a February road race in Portage, Michigan, hosted by Kalamazoo Area Runners and the City of Portage. It runs alongside a 10K and a 5K, and all three start at Loy Norrix High School. Organizers pitch it as a training event for the Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon and Half Marathon. Every finisher gets a ticket for one free drink at One Well Brewing. The 2026 edition was held on February 22; the next one is expected on the same February Sunday cadence.
