The Lowdown
The 10K Ciudad de Huesca is an urban road race through the historic center of Huesca, in the Spanish region of Aragón, organized by Club Deportivo Zoiti Huesca together with the Peña Recreativa Zoiti and the Huesca City Council. Runners complete two laps of a 5-kilometer circuit that starts and finishes at Plaza Zaragoza (near Plaza de Navarra) and passes through Porches de Galicia, Coso Bajo and Coso Alto, Calle Padre Huesca, Plaza Santa Clara, the San Lorenzo basilica, Ronda de Montearagón, Joaquín Costa, Avenida de la Paz and Valentín Carderera before returning to the start. The same event also offers a single-lap 5K on the identical circuit.
The race launched in May 2024 and moved to a September date from its second edition onward. The third edition ran on Sunday, September 13, 2026, drawing 302 registered runners - about 60 more than the year before - with a separate children's race held alongside the main event. Jesús Olmos (Vicky Foods) won the 2026 men's 10K in 30:14 and Andrea Castán (Syb Triatlón/CC Oscense) won the women's race in 38:49.
Registration for the 2026 edition opened May 1 and cost EUR 18 for either distance, capped at 500 total bibs between the two races, with runners who signed up before mid-August receiving a commemorative t-shirt. The organizers have not yet announced the exact date or entry price for the next edition; this record projects the 2027 race onto the event's established second-Sunday-of-September cadence (14 Sept 2025, 13 Sept 2026).
