The Lowdown

The 10km de la Riviera is an annual community road race held in Villeneuve, on the eastern shore of Lake Geneva in the Vaud Riviera, between the lakeside communes of Villeneuve and Veytaux-Chillon near the Château de Chillon. Organized by the Association les 10km de la riviera, the event is built to link the Riviera vaudoise communes and promote everyday sport participation: alongside the flat, lakefront 10 km road race it offers a 5 km road race, a 5 km walk, and a children's race, all starting and finishing at the Parc de l'Ouchettaz. The 12th edition ran on September 20, 2026; the race returns for its 13th edition on September 19, 2027, continuing its established third-Sunday-in-September date.
