Aosta 21K
The Lowdown
Aosta 21K is a flat, certified half marathon through the historic Roman city center of Aosta, capital of Italy's Aosta Valley region, with Alpine views along the Dora Baltea river plain. The 21.0975 km course starts near Via Torino, threads past the former Cogne Acciai Speciali steelworks and the city's ancient monuments, and finishes at the Augustus Arch (Arco d'Augusto). Companion events on race weekend include the Auto Montblanc 10K, the non-competitive CAS Buongiorno Aosta 5K, and a 2K School & Family Game, and the event has been recognized as a low-environmental-impact race by EcoActions Legambiente. After running each May since its debut, organizers paused the 2026 edition to redevelop the event, announcing a return in May 2027. Registration for the 2027 edition had not yet opened as of this listing.
