CagliariRespira
The Lowdown
CagliariRespira is Cagliari's international half marathon, held every December in Sardinia's capital city. The 21.0975 km course runs a single loop through Cagliari's historic center and the Poetto seafront, cutting through Molentargius-Saline Natural Park for about a kilometer of unpaved trail before finishing on flat asphalt at the Fiera della Sardegna. The 2026 edition, the 18th, is titled AF Motors CagliariRespira'26 after its current sponsor -- past editions have carried other sponsor names (PAN, CRAI) under the same neutral CagliariRespira identity. The course is FIDAL-certified, starts at 10:00 on Viale Diaz near Piazza Marco Polo, and carries a 2-hour-30-minute time limit. Race weekend also includes the SeiKaralis 6km run/walk, the two-person KaralisStaffetta relay, a non-competitive tourist half marathon, and a KidsRun. Organized by ASD Cagliari Marathon Club, the 2025 edition drew more than 2,300 participants across all distances, including roughly 850 in the competitive half marathon and over 900 in the SeiKaralis.
