Garda Trentino Half Marathon
The Lowdown
The Garda Trentino Half Marathon (GTHM 21K), staged in the picturesque town of Riva del Garda on the northern shore of Lake Garda, is a well-established annual event organized by Trentino Eventi that draws regional and international runners. The XXIV edition in 2026 falls on November 8. The race covers 21 km through the municipalities of Riva del Garda, Arco, and Nago-Torbole, threading along the lakefront promenade and ascending briefly into olive-terraced lanes with views of Lake Garda and the Dolomite foothills. The course passes historic harbors, medieval streets, and dramatic cliff-backed scenery, balancing fast flat stretches with rolling sections. Chip timing, pacer support, aid stations, shuttle buses from the finish area to the start, and a festive finish-line atmosphere in the lakeside town center are all included. The event is officially measured to international standards and conforms to AIMS/World Athletics measurement protocols. Companion events include a 10K, a Run4Fun (4 km), and a Kids race.
