Bari Med Marathon

The Bari Med Marathon is a half marathon (21.0975 km) and 10 km race held each spring through the historic center and Mediterranean waterfront of Bari, the capital of Apulia (Puglia) on Italy's southeastern coast. The sixth edition is set for Sunday, May 2, 2027, as part of a race weekend that opens May 1 -- the event has settled into an early-May date after earlier editions ran in late February (2024) and late May (2025). Runners start and finish at Corso Trieste, near the Pane e Pomodoro seafront park, on a route that passes Bari's Old City, the Castello Svevo (Svevo Castle), the historic port, and the San Cataldo lighthouse along the Lungomare. The FIDAL-sanctioned, Type-A-certified Bronze-level course is organized by ASD La Fabbrica di Corsa under the patronage of the Puglia Region and the City of Bari. The race bills itself as a celebration of the 22 Mediterranean countries, spotlighting a different partner nation each year -- Turkey was the honored country for the 2026 fifth edition, which drew roughly 2,000 finishers from 34 countries. Registration for the 2027 half marathon opened August 1, 2026 and runs through April 29, 2027, with prices rising in tiers from EUR20 to EUR35; the 10 km entry ranges from EUR15 to EUR20 over the same window. Race sponsors include pasta maker Divella and local firms Go Up, ANCE, and Il Dottore.
