The Lowdown
The Bodensee-Marathon is the annual road race of TV Kressbronn 1898 in Kressbronn am Bodensee, on the German shore of Lake Constance. The 53rd edition is set for Saturday, 18 September 2027, with the marathon starting at 11:30, the half marathon at 12:00 and a 10 km at 12:15. The start and finish are at the Festhalle, about 150 m from the train station, and the course closes at 16:30. The marathon is run as two laps, with a turnaround near the Festhalle that must be reached within 2:30 hours. Timing is by a transponder built into the bib, and every finisher gets a wooden medal. Registration for 2026 sold out in all three main distances, and 2027 registration is expected to open on 1 April 2027.
