The Lowdown
The Bündner Frühlingslauf is Graubünden's classic spring point-to-point race, run since the late 1980s through the Domleschg valley along the Rhine. The half marathon starts in the historic town of Thusis and covers 21.1 km, climbing roughly 250 meters after Rothenbrunnen onto the scenic Polenweg trail before descending about 350 meters to the finish at Schloss Reichenau in Reichenau/Tamins. A shorter 10K starts in Rothenbrunnen and follows the same final stretch, with a 10K Nordic Walking option run alongside it. The 38th edition took place on April 11, 2026 with roughly 730 participants across all categories, and organizers rerouted a short section that used to pass through a gravel works, replacing it with a more pleasant path. The 39th edition is scheduled for April 10, 2027, with online registration opening December 6, 2026 through Datasport.
