The Lowdown

The Conwy Half Marathon is a scenic half marathon along the North Wales coast, organized by Run Wales and starting and finishing on the quayside bridge in front of the 700-year-old Conwy Castle. The route follows the Conwy River toward Deganwy, continues along Llandudno's West Shore and Church Walks past Llandudno Pier, then circles the undulating Great Orme headland -- with a couple of steep sections -- before around two miles of descent back to the coast and the finish at Conwy. Voted among the UK's most scenic half marathons by Runner's World readers, the race is capped at 4,000 entrants and includes a companion one-mile Fun Run on the same morning. Every half marathon finisher receives a bespoke medal and technical t-shirt, with drink stations roughly every three miles and at the finish. The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, November 15, with a 9:30am start (7:30am race-day registration) and a generous cutoff of roughly 3 to 3.5 hours; runners slower than that pace continue on pavements as pedestrians. Entry costs GBP 44, with roughly 3,000 runners taking part in recent editions.
