The Lowdown
The Courses de Strasbourg Eurométropole is Strasbourg's flagship spring road-running weekend, held annually in Grand Est, France. The centerpiece is the Semi-Marathon DNA, an FFA Silver-labeled half marathon (21.1 km) that starts on Rue de l'Université in the Neustadt district and finishes on Rue des Grandes Arcades near the event village at Place Kléber, tracing a flat urban route past the banks of the Ill River and the historic city center. The same weekend also features the 10 km Crédit Mutuel, the 5 km Ancel, and the Challenge 31.1 (a combined semi-marathon plus 10 km run on a single bib), together drawing around 12,000 participants; the 2026 edition (May 10, 2026) saw 4,446 semi-marathon finishers. Official timing is handled by Chrono Compétition, and pacers are offered for 1h30, 1h40, 1h50, and 2h00 semi-marathon finish targets. All timed events require a current FFA license or a health-prevention certificate (PPS) dated within three months of race day. The 2027 edition has not yet been officially scheduled, but the race has run on the second Sunday of May in each of the last three years (2024, 2025, 2026), so the next edition is projected for Sunday, May 9, 2027.
