Dungarvan 10K
The Lowdown
Dungarvan 10K is the closing race of the West Waterford AC Summer Series, an annual evening 10-kilometer road race run on the flat canal circuit that starts and finishes at the Industrial Estate off the N25 in Dungarvan, County Waterford. It is one of the longest-running fixtures on West Waterford's road-racing calendar, having reached its 39th edition in 2026, and typically starts at 7:30pm on a Friday evening in mid-July, drawing local and visiting runners to a fast, flat 10K well suited to a personal best. Sponsorship has changed over the years: the race carried the Déise College name in earlier editions and ran as the Sherry FitzGerald Reynolds Dungarvan 10K in 2026. Advance online entry costs EUR 12, rising to EUR 15 for entry on race night; runners who complete all six races in the West Waterford AC Summer Series, from Ballinroad in May through to Dungarvan in July, can enter the full series for EUR 70 and receive a commemorative gilet jacket. Dungarvan GAA club hosts number collection and prizegiving. The 2026 edition ran on Friday, July 17; the next edition is expected in mid-July 2027, following the series' usual late-July close.
