The GO&GO Half Marathon Gorizia (officially the Mezza Maratona Transfrontaliera Città di Gorizia) is a cross-border half marathon organized by ASD Bike&Run Gorizia, run under the patronage of the City of Gorizia, Italy, and the City of Nova Gorica, Slovenia. The 21.0975 km course starts and finishes at Corso Verdi (at Via Garibaldi) in Gorizia and consists of two 10.55 km loops with 95 meters of total elevation gain, crossing the Piazza della Transalpina — the square that symbolically straddles the Italy–Slovenia border — into Nova Gorica and Šempeter pri Gorici before returning to the Italian side. The race continues the legacy of the historic Maratonina Città di Gorizia, now in its 17th edition under the GO&GO name after 42 prior editions, and is included on the FIDAL national calendar and the Trofeo Provincia di Gorizia, typically drawing several hundred runners including elite athletes from Kenya, Ethiopia, and Burundi. The competitive race starts at 10:00, followed at 10:15 by a non-competitive 7K walk, 'GO&GO Half Marathon per SOS Rosa,' supporting a local breast-cancer charity. The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, October 11.
