The Lowdown
La Course Royale is a point-to-point road race that starts at the Pièce d'eau des Suisses in Versailles and finishes at the Complexe sportif Descartes in Fontenay-le-Fleury. The half marathon runs 8 km through the gardens of the Château de Versailles and the rest across the plain, with 154 m of elevation gain and four aid stations. A 10 km race, a 10 km walk and a free family race run the same morning. Organised by the town of Fontenay-le-Fleury, the 2026 edition on 8 November had its half marathon, 10 km and walk sold out, with the field limited to 2,000 participants. Free shuttles take runners from Fontenay-le-Fleury to the start.
