The Lowdown

The Maratón León is the marathon of León, Guanajuato, organized by COMUDE León with the municipality. The 46th edition ran on September 20, 2026 as the León 450 anniversary edition, with the 42K, 21K and 10K starting at the Feria de León grounds, plus a 5K and a children's race. More than 7,000 runners took part. The marathon has a 6-hour time limit and a 6:00 a.m. start. The race has run on the third Sunday of September in recent years (September 21, 2025 and September 20, 2026), so the next edition is expected around September 19, 2027.
