Maratón Los Mochis

Maratón Los Mochis is an annual road race held in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, on Mexico's Pacific coast, with the 2026 running marking its 9th edition on November 29. Title-sponsored by Paquetexpress, the event starts and finishes at the Centro de Usos Múltiples (CUM), on Blvd. Rosales Pte. and Blvd. Las Huertas, and offers four adult distances - the full 42.195K marathon, a 21K half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K - plus 500m and 800m children's races. Uniquely among Mexican marathons, entry is completely free for every distance. The race has grown quickly, from 1,250 finishers two editions ago to roughly 2,000 runners expected in 2026, and it distributes more than 800,000 pesos in prizes, giveaways, and raffles, including 345,100 pesos in cash prizes for top finishers from across Mexico and abroad. The race has drawn competitive international fields - the 2024 edition was won by Kenyan runners Bonyface Kangogo (2:31:19) and Rose Jepkorir (2:46:43) - and its results are recorded on the World Athletics results calendar. The half marathon route places aid stations every 3 kilometers with water and isotonic drink.
