Media Maratón Internacional Santa Cruz de Tenerife
The Lowdown
The Media Maratón Internacional Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the XII edition of Tenerife's flagship half marathon, held each November in the capital of Spain's Canary Islands. Organized by DADO Eventos with the backing of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife city council and sanctioned by Spain's Royal Athletics Federation (RFEA), the race offers two distances that start and finish near Parque de La Gesta, close to the Estación Naviera Armas on Avenida Marítima: a 21.1 km half marathon starting at 09:00 and an 8K starting at 09:45. The course is a fast, largely flat urban loop that follows Avenida Marítima and Avenida La Salle before heading out along Avenida de Anaga to the Barrio de San Andrés, then returning through the heart of the city past Parque García Sanabria and down the historic Calle El Pilar. The 2025 edition drew more than 4,000 runners, and the RFEA sanctioning means finish times are officially homologated. Bib pickup takes place at the Nivaria Center on Avenida Tres de Mayo on the Friday and Saturday before race day; no race-day pickup is offered. Registration opened in April 2026 with an early-bird tier of €23 for the half marathon and €16 for the 8K; as of September 2026 the active pricing is €44 (half marathon) and €26 (8K), rising to €60 and €45 respectively after the final discount deadline on November 8, 2026.
