The Lowdown

Media Maratón Pamplona is Pamplona's annual half marathon, organized since 1985 by local athletics club Beste Iruña. The 21.1 km course winds through the old town past the medieval city walls (Murallas de Pamplona), the Cathedral of Santa María, and Plaza del Castillo, with a companion 5K held the same morning. The 42nd edition on May 10, 2026 drew a record 1,012 half marathon finishers plus 133 in the 5K; Youness Assehli (Club Santurtzi, 1:09:45) and Maitane Melero (Club Beste Iruña, 1:18:12) won the men's and women's races. Title sponsorship has changed hands over the years — Interesport, then Rodi Motor Services for 2025-2026 — so the race is listed here under its neutral name. The 43rd edition is confirmed for Sunday, May 9, 2027; official registration for that edition had not yet opened as of this writing, so the entry fees shown here (€20-25 for the half marathon, €12 for the 5K) carry over from the 2026 cycle pending updated 2027 pricing.
