Mezza di Cremona
The Lowdown
Mezza di Cremona is a FIDAL-certified half marathon through Cremona, in Italy's Lombardy region, organized by Triathlon Cremona Stradivari with the patronage of the Comune di Cremona. The 2026 edition debuts a new race course on Sunday, September 20, starting at 9:00 AM in front of the Teatro Ponchielli on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Runners pass the Museo del Violino, the Chiesa di San Michele, and the Po riverfront before finishing in Piazza Stradivari at the foot of the Torrazzo, Cremona's medieval bell tower. The half marathon (21.097 km) runs alongside two shorter non-competitive events, the 10 km Stracremona and the 6 km Family Run, and a Saturday-evening Expo Village adds live music and sports talks. More than 1,600 runners had registered as of early September 2026. This new-course debut follows the discontinuation of Cremona's historic 24-edition half marathon, the Mezza Maratona di Cremona, which the Cremona Runners committee replaced with a 10 km race for 2026.
