Microbiot Fit Sunset Rush Acapulco
The Lowdown
Microbiot Fit Sunset Rush Acapulco is an annual road race staged along Acapulco's Zona Diamante beachfront, in the southwestern Mexican state of Guerrero, with start and finish at Arena GNP Seguros. Organized by Fhinix Sports together with the Municipio de Acapulco and the Government of Guerrero, the event dates back to 2024, when it launched as the ½ Maratón Acapulco Microbiot Fit; by 2025 it had rebranded under its current sunset-timed format, and the 2026 edition — held January 31 — drew more than 2,000 runners from across Mexico. The race offers three distances, 5K, 10K, and 21K (half marathon), all sharing the same course loop through the Diamante district. True to its name, the half marathon and shorter distances are staged to finish around dusk, framed by a pre-race DJ warm-up, ambient fog and lighting stations along the route, and a post-race recovery and social zone with ice baths and live music. Runners booking through the event's Princess Mundo Imperial hotel partnership have received up to two complimentary race entries per room. Both the 2025 and 2026 editions ran on January 31, and the organizers have not yet published a 2027 date; the next edition is projected for the same late-January slot.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
No public refund/cancellation policy is published by the organizer; entry fees should be treated as non-refundable, consistent with most Mexican club-organized road races of this scale.
Launched in 2024 as the ½ Maratón Acapulco Microbiot Fit, part of that year's Serial Go Run MX circuit, jointly convened by the Municipio de Acapulco, the Gobierno de Guerrero, and Fhinix Sports.
Rebranded for 2025-2026 as Microbiot Fit Sunset Rush Acapulco, emphasizing an experiential, sunset-timed format: DJ warm-up zone, ambient fog/lighting/water stations along the route, a finish synchronized with dusk, and a post-race recovery zone with ice baths, massage, and live music.
The 2026 edition (January 31, 2026) was positioned by Acapulco's Secretaría de Turismo as the opening event of Mexico's national running calendar for the year, drawing runners from Querétaro, Puebla, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Veracruz, Mexico City, State of Mexico, and Guerrero.
Race-week hotel partnership with Princess Mundo Imperial (Zona Diamante) has offered up to 2 complimentary race entries per room booked, subject to availability.
2025 and 2026 editions both fell on January 31; the organizer has not yet announced a 2027 date, so the 2027 edition is projected onto the same late-January slot pending an official announcement.
