The Nottingham Running Festival is an annual multi-distance road and trail event held at Nottingham Racecourse within Colwick Country Park, on the eastern edge of the city. Organized by RunThrough, the festival offers a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and a Junior Race, all run on flat, chip-timed courses that combine tarmac paths with gravel racecourse track and loop past Colwick Park's lakes. The setting is unusual for a road race: much of the route runs inside one of England's oldest racecourses. Every finisher receives a themed medal, free race photography, and post-race refreshments in an on-site event village, with proceeds supporting charity partner Nottinghamshire Hospice. The August 2026 edition was cancelled hours before the start after travellers occupied the venue's car park overnight; the festival returns to Colwick Park for its next edition in August 2027.
