Robin Hood Half Marathon
The Lowdown
The Robin Hood Half Marathon is Nottingham's biggest mass-participation running event, celebrating 45 years of racing in the city in 2026. Organized by Goldline Events and UK Athletics-licensed, the single-lap, largely flat course starts and finishes on Victoria Embankment beside the River Trent, with gentle inclines around miles 2, 4, and 6. Runners pass Nottingham Castle, the Robin Hood Statue, the Nottingham Park Estate, and Wollaton Park, home to a resident deer herd. A companion 1.5-mile Mini Marathon and a corporate relay challenge run alongside the half marathon on the same morning. The event is Nottingham's largest single-day charity fundraiser, with headline partner Brain Tumour Research and dozens of official charity places available. For 2026, general entries have sold out; only limited charity places remain for the half marathon, while the VIP package and multi-year bundles are also sold out.
