The Semi-Marathon de Biarritz is the half marathon distance within the Marathon International de Biarritz - Pays Basque weekend, returning for its next edition on Sunday, April 25, 2027. The 21.0975 km course stays almost entirely within Biarritz, with a short excursion into neighboring Bidart, taking runners past the historic city center, along the oceanfront, and by Biarritz's landmark lighthouse before finishing at the Parc des Sports Aguiléra. The route carries 305 meters of elevation gain, with four aid stations along the way, and the course closes at 3:00pm. The wider event weekend also includes a full marathon, a 3-person marathon relay, a 14K, a 10K, a 5K charity race, and kids' races, drawing roughly 18,000 participants across all distances in 2026, with 4,656 semi-marathon finishers in the 2025 edition. Registration for 2027 is open online, priced at €46 for the first 1,000 bibs and rising in tiers to €55 as bibs sell. Bib pickup traditionally runs the Saturday before race day at the Halle d'Iraty, where runners can also browse the event's partner village. The race is organized by ExtraSports with the City of Biarritz and title sponsor Matmut.
