StraLugano marks its 20th edition in 2026, and for the first time the race hosts the Campionati Svizzeri di Mezza Maratona (Swiss Half Marathon Championship). The 21.097km course is AIMS-World Athletics Grade A certified and traces a fast, flat, panoramic route along Lake Lugano's shoreline, from Paradiso to the Ponte del Diavolo. Runners get two starts: an early 9:30 wave for elite athletes and those with certified times under 1:20 (men) or 1:34 (women), and a 10:20 wave open to everyone else. The 2026 edition, part of a full weekend that also includes a 10km CityRun, 5km FunRun, the Monte Brè mountain run, a relay and a KidsRun, is on pace for record participation after more than 7,600 finishers in 2025. Migros has renewed its title partnership through 2030, and every finisher receives a commemorative 20th-anniversary medal.
