Taipei Marathon
The Lowdown
The Taipei Marathon (臺北馬拉松), title-sponsored by Fubon Financial, is Taiwan's largest and most prestigious road race, held annually on the third Sunday of December. The full marathon (42.195K) starts at 06:30 from Taipei City Hall Plaza (市民廣場) and finishes at the Taipei Stadium / Taipei Sports Park, taking runners on a fast, World Athletics-labelled course through the heart of the capital. General entry is allocated by lottery ("register first, then draw"), with separate guaranteed-entry and qualifying (達標) routes for sub-3:20 runners. The event also offers a half marathon (21.0975K).
