Trento Half Marathon
The Lowdown
The Trento Half Marathon is the flagship event of the Trento Running Festival, held every autumn in the historic center of Trento, the capital of Trentino-Alto Adige in northern Italy. The 21.097 km course is a single urban loop that starts in Piazza Dante and finishes in the scenic Piazza Duomo, passing beneath the Castello del Buonconsiglio around the 10th kilometer for the route's only real incline, a short 300-meter stretch with a 2% grade. Outside of that climb the World Athletics- and FIDAL-certified course is flat and fast, drawing runners chasing a personal best. Race weekend also includes the historic Giro al Sas, a 10K, and a family fun run, and the 2026 edition marks the event's 15th running, organized by A.S.D. Città di Trento.
