Warrington Running Festival
The Lowdown
The Warrington Running Festival, presented by New York Bakery Co., is an annual road running event through Warrington town centre in Cheshire, England, organized by RunThrough. Now in its fifth year, the 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, September 20, with a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Fun Run all starting and finishing near the Golden Gates at Warrington Town Hall, with an event village based at Bank Park. The flat, closed-road courses loop through the town centre, making the routes fast and beginner-friendly. More than 6,000 runners are expected across all distances, continuing growth since the festival launched in 2023 as the world's first free-to-enter running festival. Half Marathon entrants must be at least 17 on race day, and 10K entrants must be at least 15. The event runs from 9:00am to 12:30pm and is held in support of St. Rocco's Hospice, with sponsors including New York Bakery Co., KIA, MG, Watsons Solicitors, SportsShoes, and Brooks. Entry costs £40 for the Half Marathon, £38 for the 10K, £31 for the 5K, and £17 for the Fun Run.
