La Maratona di Ravenna Città d'Arte es un clásico maratón de otoño que celebra el patrimonio cultural extraordinario de Rávena y sus mosaicos históricos. La edición 2026 alberga el Campeonato Italiano Máster de Maratón (FIDAL) e integra el circuito HypER-5, que reúne cinco maratones en Emilia-Romaña. El recorrido es predominantemente plano y rápido, atravesando amplios bulevares de Rávena, parques y barrios que lucen basílicas famosas y monumentos decorados con mosaicos. Pasa cerca de la Basílica de San Vitale, el Mausoleo de Gala Placidia y otros hitos artísticos. Espectadores se alinean en los puntos clave, animando con música local, puestos de comida y voluntarios que brindan ánimo — una mezcla acogedora donde conviven la competencia y el turismo cultural. Elegibilidad
- Must be at least 18 years old on race day (2026-11-08)
- Valid medical certificate for competitive sports (certificato medico agonistico) required and must be presented on request
- Foreign runners may submit an equivalent sports fitness certificate recognized in their country; an Italian translation may be required
- Athletes registered with a national athletics federation (e.g. FIDAL or equivalent) must have a valid membership/licence
- Online registration and full payment required by the published deadline; on-site entries may not be available
- Race bibs are personal and non-transferable; changing bibs is prohibited
- Participants must comply with race rules, marshals' instructions and anti-doping regulations
- Runners must finish within the official course time limits and respect intermediate cut-off times; participants who cannot maintain required minimum pace may be removed from the course for safety

The course is primarily flat and fast and winds through Ravenna's historic center with multiple views of UNESCO-listed Byzantine mosaics and monuments.
Finishers receive a custom mosaic-themed finisher medal (2026: featuring the Mausoleo di Teodorico profile) and a technical race shirt, with chip timing for official results.
Race weekend includes a race expo, a pre-race pasta party, and companion distances: Consar Ravenna Half Marathon (21K) and Martini Good Morning Ravenna (10K) on the same day.
Aid stations are positioned approximately every 5 km with water, sports drink and medical support, and there are award categories for overall, age-group, and national champions.
The 2026 edition hosts the Italian Masters Marathon Championship (FIDAL) and is part of the HypER-5 five-marathon Emilia-Romagna circuit.
Title sponsor for the 42K in 2026 is Esselunga; the canonical event name remains Maratona di Ravenna Città d'Arte (sponsor-neutral). The 21K is sponsored by Consar and the 10K by Martini.
